Honoring Hidden Heroes Sits Down With The Founder Of Off-Road Outreach

Posted by MLC Secret Squirrel Blog Writer on Feb 28th 2023

On the second episode of Honoring Hidden Heroes, we chat with the founder and executive director of Off-Road Outreach, Stacey Buckner. After growing up with her father, who is a retired 82nd Airborne Staff Sergeant, and working around veterans with the VA, Buckner noticed a gap in the services for veterans. As a result, she was inspired to create Off-Road Outreach.

This non-profit organization works closely with veterans in Fayetteville, North Carolina, right next to Fort Liberty. Off-Road Outreach provides various services and programs to homeless vets, including hot mobile showers, suicide prevention, and peer counseling. Buckner also discussed her new Tiny Homes initiative for homeless veterans, which she hopes to launch by the summer of 2023.

In this month’s episode, you’ll get to hear all about Off-Road Outreach and Stacey Buckner’s Tiny Home initiative. And if you’re in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and you’re interested in volunteering with Off-Road Outreach, you can sign up through their website.
