In the 16th episode of Honoring Hidden Heroes, we sat down to talk with Bart Sherwood, the founder of Train a Dog, Save a Warrior (TADSAW). TADSAW is an organization that helps veterans and service members access service and emotional support dog training, either with their own dog or a rescue sourced by TADSAW. The aim is to foster independence in the warrior so they can better care for themselves and train any future service or emotional support dog training.
TADSAW also focuses on suicide prevention by providing veterans with access to animal therapy, which has incredible benefits for mental health. When service members and veterans get the help they need, they can live a fulfilling life outside of their military service.
