voodoo stomp bag
This bag is constructed of good material suitable for waterproof or water resistant performance, however - my bag was detective in construction. The side straps on the right side of the bag were not sewn in the correct locations and are both located higher than the corresponding buckles they are intended to be fastened into. This is causing the straps to twist the buckles and pull at an angle rather than secure that side of the bag properly. Over time the excess angular tension will eventually cause the stitching to fail. The bag was also not sewn properly where the voodoo tag is on the inside of the bag. I had to cut away all the excess thread that was left dangling in that area as it would have gotten snagged and caused the good thread to come unraveled. Also, voodoo shows their label sewn onto the bottom right corner of the upper inside Zipper pouch of their bags and mine was a simple label sewn in the inside of the bag directly overtop of another white label that said "made in china". This coincidentally happened to be where all the defective sewing and excess thread was and made my bag appear as though it was a knockoff that had a voodoo label added after manufacturing to make it seem authentic. My bag is also missing the lower straps from both sides of the bag that aids in making it "jumpable". This was yet another sign of a possible knockoff because all the voodoo bags are shown with those straps and advertised as jumpable. I never complained because I am not currently jumping with this bag. I also never contacted the seller to complain or dispute my bag's authenticity because 1. I didn't know if voodoo changed their label location or discontinued the straps for jumping just recently that have always been on them until now? and 2. I tried to compare it to the knockoff bags to see if I could identify who really made my bag and found that even if my "voodoo" stomp bag was a knockoff there was only $10-$20 difference in price and it just wouldn't be worth the hassle, arguing and time wasted. We needed the bag to go directly into service and since we buy equipment and supplies often I will just make due with this bag and we just need to be more cautious with future purchases/sellers. This company did ship quickly and was a problem free purchase. I dont know if the bag I received is a fake or not or if the seller knew what they were selling but what I can tell everyone is that this seller ships fast with a hassle free transaction and that the product I received from them was defective and possibly a knockoff and I can also say that I did not give them a chance to see if they would address or fix the issue.
