Only reason I gave 4 stars is because the waist belt isn’t removable. I will have to cut it off. Other than that I’m very happy with the bag.
I really like it it has alot of room
Pros: - price - fairly durable, heavy duty zipper, beefy zipper tabs, ect.. - strong material - comfortable cushioning - Asthetically AMAZING!! - Tons of loops for carabiners - Very large capacity in a small package - highly adjustable in every way. Cons: - single stitched - side pads on waist strap are not removable - I wish their was velcro on the top front pocket like alot of other packs I see on here. All in all I am VERY pleased with this pack and I will purchase from MLC again. Shipping was lightning fast. The pros far out weigh the cons, which is mostly nitpicking. You shouldn't buy this pack if your going to put 'extreme' wear because it's not designed for 'super high' levels of abuse. Great for 'moderate to heavy' applications though. I would buy this for a relative or close friend, it's that good.
I've owned one of these packs for over three years now. Through school, search and rescue, travelling, and more, it has held up extremely well with only a 3 centimetre separation of the zipper and exterior fabric on the bottom. Other than the above, the pack still looks new. There is also ample space on the inside without expanding the pack, but the extra space come in handy when you need just a little more. However, the MOLLE straps are not well positioned for use with pouches and the support belt is too large and tends to get in the way.
my son wanted this for school and he absolutely loves its! very durable well made large capacity product (i think its a bit too big for a school backpack but he loves it and that is what matters) he will be able to use it long after he graduates!
Couldn't be more thrilled with the package I received today. Not only did it show up super fast but the quality is amazing! My husband is going to be so stoked come Fathers Day. This pack is almost identical to the one I was issued in the USMC in '07. It has a couple of thumb loops on the straps that seem to be a new feature. Personally, I cut them off so I could roll my straps up with electrical tape. Maybe my memory is playing tricks on me but this pack seems slightly bigger as well. Shipping was faster than I expected. I also received a black organizer with a Devildog patch on it as a free gift. I wasn't expecting the swag but it really made my day. I will definitely order from here again.
