This is an awesome bag. It's big enough to fit an entire week's worth of clothes but small enough and I can carry it on my motorcycle without a problem.
I have carried this pack nearly DAILY, with a laptop and all shaving kit items using those constantly. It also is loaded with miscellaneous things I "might need" some day. It just weighed in at 24 pounds, normal daily load. The only wear showing is slight fraying on the "Breathable backpanel with spacer mesh" that periodically comes in contact with velcro on a pair of Tru Spec pants. I have only ever carried it on one shoulder, and the stitching is as tight as the day it arrived. In my world this is a great, everyday carry utility bag.
I like this backpack, it has a lot of features and has plenty of space. I took it on a training op in vermont and everything was wet. I only had some spare clothes, an extra set of boots, and food in the pack but once it was wet it started to give from that weight. I picked it up and heard the shoulder strap start to tear. The smallest pouch is torn and frayed and I can't keep anything in there anymore. The material is slowly starting to give and we were only out there for two weeks or so. The pack can't be clipped onto my regular ILBE, but that's really not their fault it's probably a licensing issue or something. Still though that makes a hike rough since it's not secure at all and it fell off a few times which is aggravating when you're cold and tired. Overall it's a decent pack but it just couldn't hold up to the field.
Received the 3 Day Elite about just under a week ago and I couldn't be more pleased. Easily the nicest, most rugged and reliable backpack I've ever owned. If you are thinking of purchasing this item, DO IT. You will not be disappointed, extremely satisfied with my purchase. I would give it more stars if I could.
I couldn't win one and held out for over a year trying! The Coyote 3Day Elite by S.O.C., for those of you who use Backpacks for everyday life, know how nice it is to have a bag that handles EVERYTHING.. This one replaced one I carried for 10 years and I regret waiting that year before picked this one up. I slogged a computer case and smaller back pack all that time, when this one really does it all, and I have empty space (I need more stuff...) It is rugged and functional. I am VERY please. dhh
Love this pack. I have been using the 3 day Elite as a 72 hour pack for SAR missions/training. Plenty of room for all my gear. Very durable pack.
This is one of the best bags I have ever used. Anytime I do anything for the military its with me. Always have enough room for my stuff. Very very durable also. Only bag you will need.
I have purchased this bag awhile back and it has taken place of my ruck sack. You can pack so many things into this bag specially with the retaining straps in the larger section of the bag. It says three da but I can pack a weeks worth in it. Really awesome bag and suggests eeplacing this bag with your assault packs.
